Christian Konopatzki is the CEO of Dubai based affiliate marketing company CTARS INC and has quickly become one of the most promising young professionals in the industry. His company’s innovative way of operating and his dedication to improving the lives of his clients has allowed him to grow CTARS INC into the prominent and successful company that it is today. He discusses how he got his start in the industry and shares some of the goals that have continued to inspire him to work hard and achieve his dreams. He also offers some advice to other young entrepreneurs looking to get their start in the business world.
Hi Christian, first of all can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I‘m a business man based in Dubai and I have been running my own affiliate marketing company called CTARS INC for the past few years. Me and my employees pride ourselves on working hard to get the best results for our customers. We have been doing this since 2017 and have seen the company continue to grow and reach new successes. I have always been a hard worker and have enjoyed building my business from the ground up.
What made you decide you wanted to start your own business?
I was always determined to become my own boss and not work for somebody else. Because of that, I felt I had only one option and that was to start my own business. The decision was pretty easy because I wanted to move out of my parents home and start doing something on my own. Deciding was the easy part. Doing, however, can be hard but I remained dedicated and after some time it all eventually worked out really well.
How did your experience in the German National ice hockey team inspire your ambitions?
It definitely gave me discipline and discipline and hard work go hand in hand with success no matter what field you are in. I learnt that you always have to strive for more. Having a vision or goal in front of you at all times will help you remain dedicated. It also says in the Bible that without vision, people perish.
When did you get interested in affiliate marketing?
When I was 20 I needed the money and the beautiful thing about affiliate marketing is that it is the type of business you can start without putting any money down. I became particularly attracted to it because of my lifelong goals to work from home and be my own boss. Affiliate marketing seemed like the perfect industry to achieve this and it has turned out to be exactly that.
What does CTARS INC do differently from others in the industry?
The biggest advantage that we have at CTARS INC compared to others is that we have unique ways of doing advertising. One of the things that we do is utilise different mediums such as Pinterest. This also means that we mostly do advertising without paying for it.
What qualities do you think a good business leader needs to have?
I think the main thing is that you need to be prepared for the fast-paced nature of the industry. While patience can be good, in affiliate marketing you often need to hurry. You can’t take too long to make decisions because the business of affiliate marketing is always changing. You have to be able to adapt very fast and try to solve any problems that may arise as quickly and efficiently as possible. The ability to think on your feet is definitley an important skill to have.
What advice would you give to other young people looking to start their own business?
My advice for other young people looking to start their own business is simple: just do it and take risks! If you win, you will be happy. If you lose, you will be wise.
